As announced earlier, OnePlus has officially unveiled its 2017 flagship smartphone called OnePlus 5. The key details along with the design of this new device are already revealed, thanks to the several leaks. As seen from the last couple of weeks, the new OnePlus 5 looks similar to Apple iPhone 7 Plus and sports top-notch specifications. However, the company still continues with the Full HD resolution display featuring comparatively bigger bezels than the other 2017 flagship devices. It sports an Anodized Aluminum unibody with curved Antennas on the top and bottom rear of the device.
It comes with dual SIM dual standby and supports 34 LTE bands. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio port, and USB 2.0 Type-C port. As seen with the OnePlus 3 and 3T, the new OnePlus 5 also offers Dash Charging support (5V/4A) for its 3,300mAh non-removable battery. The device measures 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.25 mm and weighs 153 grams. The power button is on the right edge, while the volume rocker and alert slider are on the left edge of the device.
It packs single bottom-facing speaker but includes three microphones with noise cancellation. It will be available in Midnight Black & Slate Gray color options. Coming to the pricing, the 6GB RAM variant costs $479/€499, where the high-end 8GB RAM variant is priced at $539/€559. The device is now available for pre-order on the company’s official website and the shipping starts from June 21st for the early pre-orders. The regular sales will kick off on June 27th in all the markets. The Indian launch of the OnePlus 5 will be held on June 22nd and will be exclusive to Amazon India.
